Turkey Burger with Fresh Mango–Pineapple Salsa

Ingredients

Turkey Burgers:

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp BBQ sauce (optional)
  • 1–2 tsp oil for cooking

Mango–Pineapple Salsa:

  • 1/2 cup diced mango
  • 1/2 cup diced pineapple
  • 1–2 tbsp finely diced red onion or a pinch of onion powder
  • Juice of 1/2 lime
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: diced jalapeño

To Serve:

  • Buns
  • Lettuce or spinach (optional)
  • Baked beans on the side

Instructions

  1. Make the Salsa: Combine mango, pineapple, onion, lime juice, salt, and optional jalapeño. Chill.
  2. Prepare the Turkey Burgers: Mix turkey, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and BBQ sauce. Form 3–4 patties.
  3. Cook: Heat oil in a skillet over medium. Cook patties 4–5 minutes per side or until internal temp reaches 165°F.
  4. Assemble: Place patties on buns with lettuce if desired. Spoon salsa over top.
  5. Serve: Enjoy with baked beans on the side.
