Turkey Burger with Fresh Mango–Pineapple Salsa

Ingredients
Turkey Burgers:
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp BBQ sauce (optional)
- 1–2 tsp oil for cooking
Mango–Pineapple Salsa:
- 1/2 cup diced mango
- 1/2 cup diced pineapple
- 1–2 tbsp finely diced red onion or a pinch of onion powder
- Juice of 1/2 lime
- Pinch of salt
- Optional: diced jalapeño
To Serve:
- Buns
- Lettuce or spinach (optional)
- Baked beans on the side
Instructions
- Make the Salsa: Combine mango, pineapple, onion, lime juice, salt, and optional jalapeño. Chill.
- Prepare the Turkey Burgers: Mix turkey, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and BBQ sauce. Form 3–4 patties.
- Cook: Heat oil in a skillet over medium. Cook patties 4–5 minutes per side or until internal temp reaches 165°F.
- Assemble: Place patties on buns with lettuce if desired. Spoon salsa over top.
- Serve: Enjoy with baked beans on the side.
